I Shall Name The Fetus Veto Cordleonlygoinginthetrash
Categories: Blog, In The News, Mini Blogs, PoliticsAs a big “fuck you, you stupid ignorant fool” to Bush for his stem cell bill veto, I’ve decided to get pregnant and have an abortion. If anybody knows how I can contact George Clooney for assistance in this important political endeavor, please let me know.
Also, if you haven’t already seen video of Bush at the G8 summit dinner, it’s below. I have absolutely no problem with our president cursing in front of other world leaders- in fact I like it. But you have to wonder about the sort of people Bush has surrounded himself by that apparently nobody has ever had the guts to say to him, “Dude, close your mouth when you eat. You look like a damn horse chewing peanut butter.”

Jenee’… you were one of the first blogs I found when I started “blogging”, and you remain one I read regularly. You are an extremely funny comedianne, and I appreciate your banter, you are an excellant writer. However, I was so dissapointed to find out you are an extreme liberal. I will always read you, and I love your humor, however in response to this post… I APPRECIATE THE FACT THAT GEORGE W. AND TONY BLAIR have the ability to sit and discuss frankly the FUBAR’D state of affairs. This shit does have to stop, and unfortunately Mr. Blair, and Mr. Bush drew the short straw to make it happen or at least try.
I really believe that given the choice, both gentlemen are thinking, “I just HAD to run for office, and now DAMN… what do we do. At least they are trying”.
Thank goodness it’s not up to me, there would be much more BOOM and a lot less futile attempts at diplomacy. Save the diplomacy for people that CAN be reasoned with.

I’ll start by asking what exactly it is in this post you take issue with? You only addressed the G8 dinner about which I said I liked Bush’s frank talk. It was his eating style that I criticized. Did you watch the video and, if so, do you not think it’s a bit ridiculous he can’t seem to eat with more grace than a horse?
As for being an “extreme liberal,” I’m not sure where you got that notion but I certainly don’t like the title. Anybody who identifies too much with one side or the other scares me. I see them as either mindless sheep or radical nutcases. And many of the stances I’ve taken here have been decidely unliberal- on immigration reform, on special privilleges for special interest groups and on the death penalty, just to name a few.
That said, I do think Bush is an idiot and I have always voted Democrat. But those votes have mostly been cast as opposition to the closed-minded Republican candidates rather than as endorsements of the Democratic candidates. When it comes to politics and politicians, the most important thing to me is the protection of our civil liberties and anybody who doesn’t support them 100% won’t get my vote (and given the GOP’s strong opposition to equal rights for homosexuals, it will certainly be a long time before anybody in that party gets my support).
I’ve always considered myself a left-leaning middle but several months ago I finally discovered the Liberterian party whose balanced ideals really appeal to me. I probably wouldn’t have bothered to register with the Liberterian party but coincidentally, a good friend of mine recently announced he’s seeking the party’s presidential nomination for ‘08 so now it looks like I’ll have to (more on that later). I don’t know that I would actually vote for a Libertarian candidate- even my friend- because my vote might be better-served elsewhere, but I do hope the party can one day attain power.
