"The right to practice religion is protected by our Constitution." Well, no. The First Amendment says "<i>Congress</i> shall make no law..." There is absolutely NOTHING in the First Amendment that guarantees anyone the right to a job if they take off work for a religious observance when their boos has work scheduled for them. Not. One. Single. Solitary. Word.

Subliterates who expect to be pampered and catered to are funny as hell to watch... until they are treated unfairly by being allowed to get away with all kindsa crap others can't just by claiming it's a religious duty.

Boss wants you working on your Sabbath, even: tough. get another job, buddy. There's the door. Don't let it hit ya where the good Lord split ya.

Your anti-semitic comments are highly offensive. Observant Jews are forbidden from working on Jewish holidays. They don't have a choice - it's simply not allowed. I don't know of any corporation in this country that does not allow employees to take off on religious holidays. The right to practice religion is protected by our Constitution.

These guys did not slack off or go out drinking. They spent the two days in a synagogue praying to God for health, peace and prosperity. The producers of the show knew that these two guys would not be available on certain days, yet they picked them for the cast and scheduled tasks for those days. It was probably set up intentionally to create a conflict. You can't blame Dan and Lee for practicing their religion. They are who they are.

Yeah, I know! And you know what the sad thing is? It's that these holidays were created for a purpose, but now they're just used and abused. My friend Laura, who's Jewish, has said to me before that Jewish holidays for her are nothing more but to cut class and work and get drunk. So it's really hard to tell, who celebrates the holiday the true way, you know?

And I think youre right. I think those two slackers should have been brought in. It doesnt mean Lenny is less of a Jew...it just means, he knows he has to do all he can to become the winner of the Apprentice.
